ECEAP

ECEAP (Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program) is a comprehensive preschool program that provides FREE services and support to eligible three and four-year-old children and their families. The program works closely with parents to support their children’s health and education needs and to meet family goals. ECEAP also helps each family to access medical care, dental care, and social services. To be eligible for ECEAP, a child must meet certain age, income, and other requirements.

How to Apply

  • Complete and submit an ECEAP Application
    • You can bring completed applications and proof documents to the school or email them to elc@fifeschools.com. Submitting an application does not guarantee you a place in our programs, so please consider other childcare options as well.
  • Submit the following documents (income verification required):
    • Completed and signed Early Learning Application
      • Proof of Income (2024 W2, front page 2024 tax return, or last 12 months of pay stubs)
      • Proof of Residency and/or Verification of Residence
        • Utility Bill (garbage, sewer, water, cable)
        • Lease or Mortgage agreement
        • Signed Fife Public Schools Alternate Verification of Residence Form, and one of the above items to verify name and address of owner/person responsible for residence.
      • Birth Certificate
      • Copy of Immunizations OR permission to look up on WAIIS
      • Proof of any food benefits or TANF/SSI (Benefits Letter with time period, name, and amount included)
  • ECEAP staff will reach out to you to inform of availability or placement on wait list

If selected (selection based on risk factor prioritization process), ECEAP staff will schedule an enrollment/orientation visit.

Please note: We have "moving waitlists" - meaning children will be added to the waitlist in accordance with our program priorities (rather than a first come, first serve basis). Thus, your child's placement on the waitlist may fluctuate depending on new applications being submitted and if families choose to be removed from a waitlist throughout the school year. Please reach out to our staff if you would like more information on where your child falls on a waitlist.

Eligibility

Children must be 3-4 years old, and no older than 5 by August 31 of the current school year.

Cost

None. However, families are required to meet with family support three times annually and make progress toward family goals.
